TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Rates

All rates by Tamasha Afrika Ltd are based on exchange rates, airfares, land costs prevailing at the time of publication of price lists and are subject to change especially in cases subsequently affected by government action or other influence beyond our control and in this case the client will be duly informed.

Tamasha Afrika Rates include all expenses in connection with itinerary as follows;

  1. All lodges and hotel accommodation with foll meals as per the itinerary.
  2. Hotel arrangements are on a foll board basis while on Safari unless otherwise stated.
  3. Air costs for regional charter flights indicated in the itinerary will also be included in the rates.
  4. Entrance fees to all places of interest and to all wildlife reserves included in the itinerary.
  5. Safari car with an English-speaking driver guide is also included in the rates.

Not included in the rates are;

  1. International flight charges from any client's country of origin.
  2. Visa charges.
  3. Airport taxes paid in Kenya or abroad.
  4. Gratuities (Tip).
  5. Charges on beverages, laundry, optional excursions and other items of personal nature.

Reservations

To make a reservation you are required to pay a deposit of 50% of the total amount of the tour. The remaining balance must be paid 1Month prior to the start of the tour.

Terms of Reservation

  1. The reservation fee is folly refundable if a cancellation is made 90 and 41 days prior to the start of tour
  2. Cancellations made between 40 and 36 days prior to start of tour will incur a cancellation fee of 10% of the total tour fee.
  3. Cancellations made between 35 and 15 days prior to start of tour will incur a cancellation fee of 20% of the total tour fee.
  4. Cancellations made between 14 and 8 days prior to start of tour will incur a cancellation fee of 35% of the total tour fee.
  5. Cancellations made between 7 to 0 days prior to start of tour will incur a cancellation fee of 100% of the total tour fee.
  6. If you are making a reservation less than 15 days prior to the start of tour 100% payment must be made to accept the reservation.
  7. Tamasha Afrika LTD reserves the right to cancel a reservation if payment is not received on time, in which case cancellation fees will apply.

Accommodation

Most of the rooms booked are booked on the basis of two persons sharing a double room. Single rooms are available at supplementary costs. Hotels and lodges where mentioned are named as an indication of category and rooms may be reserved at alternate hotels or lodges that offer the same level and quality of service. Hotels are chosen based on criteria including comfort and cleanliness. Please note that a "twin room" will have two single beds placed side by side.

Change of Booking

After the booking has been confirmed, should you wish to make changes to your booking, you may do so subject to availability by paying additional adminitration fee of US$25 per person per booking. Normal cancellation fees apply if you wish to postpone your safari and are subject to availability.

Optional Excursions

Optional excursions may be purchased up to 30 days prior to departure or while on tour. Pre-purchased optional excursions are subject to a 10% per excursion cancellation fee.

Factor Outside Tamasha Afrika LTD's Control

The client is aware that unforeseen circumstances due to road conditions, weather, mechanical breakdown, accident, border closure, political situations etc are beyond the control of the Company and can delay and change the performance of the safari. The cost of flying back home, alternative accommodation, food, personal expenses and all resulting costs are to be borne by the client. The client is aware that insurance is advisable to participate on all tours and acknowledges that it is his responsibility to take comprehensive travel insurance. Tamasha Afrika LTD will accept no liability whatsoever.

Itinerary Changes

Whilst every effort is made to adhere to confirmed itineraries, Tamasha Afrika LTD reserves the right to make reasonable changes in the itinerary when deemed advisable for the comfort and safety of passengers, which includes but is not limited to: the substitution of hotels, alteration of the itinerary, and reversing the order of the places to be visited.

Tamasha Afrika Ltd also reserves the right to employ subcontractors to carry out all or any part of the services agreed upon.

Travel Insurance

The client acknowledges that it is his responsibility to take insurance. The client undertakes to take comprehensive travel insurance to cover his/her personal requirements. This insurance should include cover in the respect of, but not limited to, the following eventualities: cancellation and curtailment of the safari and services booked, emergency evacuation expenses, medical expenses, repatriation expenses, damage/theft/loss of personal baggage, money and goods.
While every care is taken, Tamasha Afrika LTD, including their representatives, employees and agents will take no responsibility for any costs, losses incurred or suffered by the guests, or guest's dependants or traveling companions, with regards to, but not limited to, any of the above mentioned eventualities. Guests will be charged directly by the relevant service providers for any emergency services they may require.
